These terms govern your use of holdoutdays.com (“the site”), published by ADS TECH - FZCO. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the site is

Hold Out Days is an independent publication about leaving home at short notice. It provides general educational information for a general audience. It is not an emergency service, a fire or police department, a civil protection authority, an insurer, a medical provider or a licensed adviser, and nothing on it constitutes professional, medical, legal or insurance advice. Nothing here should delay an evacuation order, or delay an instruction from the services responding where you live.

The Disclaimer sets out these limits in full and forms part of these terms.

Permitted use

You may read the site, print pages for your own use, and link to it. You may quote short extracts with a visible credit and a link to the page you are quoting.

You may not republish substantial parts of the text, reproduce it on another website or in another product, use it to train a model or build a dataset, scrape it at a rate that interferes with its operation, present it as your own work, or remove the attribution. Intellectual property

The text, layout, stylesheet and graphics on this site are the property of the publisher unless credited otherwise, and are protected by copyright. The DMCA Notice explains how to report material that you believe infringes your rights, and how we handle such reports.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

We write carefully and review pages periodically. Even so, the site is published as it stands: circumstances differ, practice differs between countries, official guidance changes, and an article written in one month may be out of date in another. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or suitable for your situation, and Leaving early and leaving organised reduce risk; they do not remove it.

Where something on the site matters to a decision you are making, confirm it with the authority, professional or supplier responsible for your case.

The site links to other websites, and some of those links are commercial — see the Advertising Policy. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for their content, their products, their terms or their handling of your data. Following an external link means leaving this site and entering someone else's terms.

Reading this site, or writing to us, does not create a professional, advisory, medical, legal or fiduciary relationship between you and the publisher. We cannot advise on individual circumstances and do not attempt to.

These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory law of your own country of residence gives you a different right as a consumer.
